CARRARA AND RAY DREAM STUDIO 3D GALLERY

Hello, and welcome to the main reason why I made this website - a gallery of my amateur 3D modeling, texturing, and animation work in Daz3D's Carrara and its predecessor, Metacreation's long-gone Ray Dream Studio. Being the sci-fi geek that I am, almost all of my work in these programs, as well as Adobe PhotoShop for textures, are based on my favorite science-fiction movies, television shows, and games: Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Warhammer 40,000, etc.

I currently have three main projects going on, that I work on whenever I have time (which is sadly far to rarely.) The first major project is a complete recreation of the original Battlestar Galactica, from the 1979-1980 television series. It features a semi-faithful recreation of every small detail ("greeblie") from the original studio model. I've been working on it since the beginning of 2007, and have everything done now except for the "outriggers" and the underside. I'll be adding more to that every chance that I get; I can't wait to finally get the thing finished!

The second project that I am currently working on is the Nostromo, from the film "Alien." Like the Battlestar Galactica, the USCSS Nostromo will have semi-accurate greeblies and as such will be extremely detailed. (Although still not 100% accurate - I keep finding mistakes that I've made, and probably will never catch them all...)

The third project that I'm working on (off and on) at the same time is Moonbase Alpha from Space 1999. I only have two Eagle transporters done thus far, but I hope to finish the Nostromo soon (it's almost done) and then finish the Galactica, in order to be able to finish up with Moonbase Alpha sometime by 2013.
