REGULA 1 SPACE-STATION AND U.S.S RELIANT
Space Station Regula 1 was VERY easy to model - it is essentially the "Floating Office" space-station model from "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" turned upside down and with a few extra greeblies. I had already started on the "Floating Office" space station for my still-as-of-yet-unfinished project to replicate the drydock scene from that film, so I just finished it, flipped it upside down, and I then had a finished Regula One research station. I added my already finished Miranda-class USS Reliant model, also done in Carrara, and a background moon, and rendered it all, and the results are what you see above. (Note the red glow on the Reliant's underside - that's a glow emitted from some of the greeblies on the Reliant's keel. The underside is HIGHLY detailed, as was the original filming model.)
