Imperial Probe Droid

A relatively simple model to render, although now that I look at it, I wish I had used some actual texture-maps for the metal surfaces instead of a procedural shader in Carrara. Still, I like this image because the main goal was to get as close as possible to the original image (inset) as possible.
I obtained most of my reference material from images taken of the actual Imperial Probe Droid model that was on display at the COSI Star Wars exhibit in Columbus, Ohio. If you get the chance, it is WELL worth your time and money to see that exhibit!
