Episode V:
The Millennium Falcon fleeing from Hoth and the Imperial Star Destroyers
This one goes back to my days in Ray Dream - the entire shot was done in Ray Dream Studio in two passes. The Two Star Destroyers and the Millennium Falcon are all in one layer and to scale with each other (THAT was hard to do - those Star Destroyers are MAMMOTH!) I then rendered another layer for the TIE-Fighters, and combined them all in PhotoShop and added a starfield in the background. The inset is the image from The Empire Strikes Back that inspired this shot.
