Chaos Space Marine World Eater Khorne Berzerker
The above image was originally modelled in Ray Dream Studio, then rendered in Carrara 5 when I finally upgraded to that, and had the sky and "lightning" added in via Adobe PhotoShop. The Khorne Berserker is based off of my World Eater Mk-5 model, with the addition of a power-fist instead of the usual Khornate chain-axe. Since this scene was originally modeled back in 1999 using Ray Dream Studio, the building ruins remain from the project's original Ray Dream content. I'll hopefully have them replaced with better Carrara models soon.
Despite the fact that many, if not most, Chaos Space Marine miniatures sold by Games Workshop are in the "Mark 5" armor pictured here, according to the genre's history, most traitor marines would have been wearing earlier versions. This is because Mark-V armor was created after the start of the Horus Heresy, designed and mass-produced by loyalist forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus on Mars. Most Chaos Marines should be equipped with Mark II and Mark III armor if they were still involved in the Great Crusade, or Mark IV armor if they had already been given garrison duty prior to joining forces with Horus. (At least according to what I've read. Feel free to correct me if you know differently.)
